Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and dried completely
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional for smoother melting)
  • 1/4 cup blue sanding sugar or blue sprinkles
  • patriotic sprinkles (optional)

Equipment

  • baking sheet or tray
  • parchment paper
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spoon or spatula
  • refrigerator

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper. Make sure the strawberries are fully dry before dipping.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip about two-thirds into the melted white chocolate.
  4. Immediately dip the bottom section into blue sanding sugar or blue sprinkles to create a patriotic red, white, and blue look.
  5. Place the dipped strawberries on the prepared parchment-lined tray.
  6. Let the strawberries set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the coating hardens.
  7. Serve chilled or slightly cool for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Dry strawberries completely before dipping to help the chocolate adhere properly. Use high-quality white chocolate or melting wafers for the smoothest finish. Add sprinkles while the coating is still wet for best results. Serve chilled for the freshest texture and flavor.
