  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • serving bowls

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  4. Divide the chopped romaine lettuce evenly among serving bowls.
  5. Top each bowl with cooked beef, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, red onion, dill pickles, and avocado slices.
  6. Drizzle the chilled burger sauce over each bowl just before serving.
  7. Serve immediately while the beef is warm and the vegetables are crisp.

Notes

Use lean ground beef to avoid excess grease in the bowls. Chill the burger sauce before serving for extra flavor. Prep vegetables ahead for faster assembly. Add crispy bacon for extra burger flavor or swap ground turkey for a lighter option. Assemble fresh before serving for the best texture.
