  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • paprika (for garnish)
  • fresh parsley or chives (chopped, for garnish)

Equipment

  • skillet
  • mixing bowl
  • fork or masher
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spoon or piping bag

Method

  1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks into a bowl.
  2. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook shrimp with Cajun seasoning for 2–3 minutes per side until fully cooked. Let cool slightly.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg whites.
  5. Top each deviled egg with one Cajun shrimp.
  6. Sprinkle lightly with paprika and garnish with chopped herbs.
  7. Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

Use properly cooked eggs for easy peeling. Mash yolks thoroughly for a smooth filling. Avoid overcooking shrimp to keep them tender. Chill before serving to enhance flavor. Use a piping bag for a cleaner presentation.
