Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2-4 tbsp water, as needed

Equipment

  • blender or food processor
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • airtight container for storage

Method

  1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  3. Add the parsley, chives, basil, dill, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Add water one tablespoon at a time until the dressing reaches your preferred consistency.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes for even better flavor.

Notes

Use a perfectly ripe avocado for the smoothest texture. Fresh herbs provide the best flavor compared to dried herbs. Add water gradually to control consistency. Chill before serving for an even richer taste. Store with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface to reduce browning. Freezing is not recommended as the texture may become grainy after thawing.
