Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh kale, stems removed
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (optional)
  • ice cubes for a thicker smoothie

Method
 

  1. Wash the kale thoroughly and remove the tough stems.
  2. Add milk and kale to a blender first. Blend until the kale is finely broken down.
  3. Add frozen blueberries, banana, Greek yogurt, and optional sweetener.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add chia seeds or protein powder if using, then blend again briefly.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  7. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Blend kale with the milk first for the smoothest texture. Frozen blueberries and frozen banana slices create a thicker and creamier smoothie. Add more milk to thin the consistency if needed. This smoothie can easily be customized with protein powder, nut butter, oats, or flaxseed for extra nutrition.
