Ingredients

  • 28 oz frozen french fries (1 bag)
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 0.25 cup green onions, sliced
  • 0.25 cup ranch dressing
  • 0.25 cup barbecue sauce

Equipment

  • baking sheet or cast iron skillet
  • air fryer, oven, or deep fryer
  • paper towels

Method

  1. Cook frozen fries according to package instructions (bake, air fry, or deep fry) until golden and crispy.
  2. While fries cook, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then crumble or chop.
  3. If baking fries, leave oven on. If using air fryer or deep fryer, preheat oven to 400°F for melting cheese.
  4. Spread hot cooked fries on a baking sheet or in a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the fries.
  5. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Or microwave for 30-60 seconds.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and green onions over the melted cheese.
  7. Drizzle ranch dressing and barbecue sauce over everything.
  8. Serve hot with extra sauces on the side.

Notes

Use crispy, hot fries as the base — soggy fries won't hold toppings well. Shred your own cheese for better melting. Add toppings immediately after cheese melts. Serve right away to keep fries crispy. Use a cast iron skillet for a sizzling presentation.
