  • 1 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly set. Cool before serving.
