Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box (5 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 box vanilla wafer cookies

Equipment

  • mixing bowls
  • whisk
  • electric mixer or hand whisk
  • spatula
  • serving dish

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thickened.
  2. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the pudding mixture.
  4. In a serving dish, add a layer of vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas and strawberries.
  5. Spread a layer of pudding mixture over the fruit.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to blend and cookies to soften.

Notes

Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture. Slice fruit just before assembling to keep it fresh. Chill for at least 4 hours so the cookies soften perfectly. You can swap vanilla pudding for banana or cheesecake flavor, or add berries for variation. For a richer version, add a cream cheese layer.
