- Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot in an even layer.
- Sprinkle all seasonings evenly over the chicken.
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6β7 hours or high for 3β4 hours.
- Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir it into the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 10β15 minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
For extra juicy results, use chicken thighs instead of breasts. Avoid overcooking to keep the chicken tender. Stir occasionally if possible for even flavor distribution. Add more barbecue sauce at the end if you prefer a saucier texture. Toast buns before serving for added texture and flavor.
